Launching Root Cause Analytics (RCA) from The Platform for Discovery

Optimizing irrigation and fertility applications or timing activities around planting, managing, or harvesting requires a deep understanding of the relationship between plant performance and behavior and the growing environment. Root Cause Analytics (RCA) is based on our powerful Biophysics-Boosted AI™ which applies tremendous advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning to our uniquely high-quality data. Plant physiology intelligence (revealed by DVS) indicates optimal target locations from which to obtain Digital Soil Cores that generate a rapid digital profile of soil characteristics through the entire root zone. RCA integrates additional plant observations, measurements, and yield characteristics with data on management practices, and mines the results to produce actionable insights. Insights that don’t merely conserve inputs or increase yields, but which balance the two within data-defined management zones to produce optimal ROI.

Landscan has been building and testing our DVS and DSC systems since our inception, and recently applied RCA to multiple sites with different crops, revealing numerous preliminary discoveries. Our focus in the coming months will be to work openly with select research partners while we continue to develop our system. We’re excited to begin showing the world what we’ve been working on!
